The day we played truant

Anniversary Lunch

We decided to skip the arranged coach trip today and do our own thing!  We set off after a leisurely breakfast and headed for Banon, a town famous for making Goats Cheese.  We had coffee and then drove up to the Church on the hill.  No longer used as a church but there was an Art Exhibition taking place.  The views from the top were panoramic.  Then we drove on to Simiane la Rotunde, another picturesque village and found a little restaurant – Le Chapeau Rouge – where we had a superb Wedding Anniversary Lunch.  The scenery generally is stunning with lavender fields and sunflower fields.
